(no subject)
Jan. 7th, 2012 10:46 pmOh my Rowling I hate my brain. =_=;
So... I posted this prompt on the YJ_Anon meme on LJ.
All fine and good, no problem, right? Wrong. A different anon responds with this:
So... Guess where my brain went, and guess what it wants me to do? And it's not juts my brain telling me to do it, it's my brain going "DOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT OR YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SLEEEEEEEEEEP FROM THE IDEEEEEEAS" and I didn't sleep. And it sucked. And there was more angsting and shit involved, but I don't feel like saying all it was.
Fuck it, I'm going to add this to my list of "write this NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW", sublist "Original Fiction Plz".
FML.
Now I'm going to go and write a story with this premise. (Would anyone even read it? NOOOOOOOOOO)
*Name subject to change as I will it to.
I'm sorry for any formatting fail, I just... Don't care.
Also, trying out this whole "crossposting" thing, so let's see what happens...

I know that there was a prompt before about th^s comic strip from xkcd, but it was never filled, and I'm looking for something different.
Tiny baby Wally accidentally through a magic portal, where's he's sort-of adopted by a magical world's big bad. Raised as that person's son (mother, father, I don't care), and with no memory of his past life (I'm looking at him being 3ish when he accidentally a portal), he turns out to be evil, and very good at it. Torture, murder, whatever.
Of course, the "good guys" win as good guys are apt to do, and they take the Prince, and are going to kill him, when they find out about the portal and the adoption and all that. So, instead of murder, they mindfuck him, take his memories and magical ability away and send him back through the portal, where he is once again a three year old child, a la "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe".
Years later, Wally (who literally can't believe in magic) is on the team, when they get a call from people who need help. They all assume it's the "good guys" (because that's what happens in stories, see?)
...No.
It's a cult who wants to bring the old Prince back to power, and to do so, they need a host from the world the Prince came from, to come and get the old Prince's magic powers, and memories, and lead them all to victory.
And when Wally happens to look like the Prince? Well, he's the "chosen one", which is nice, because, well, it is him.
Only, the rest of the team isn't very happy, and of course they'll help defeat the bad guys, that's what they do! (Except the "bad guy" is Wally. This could be harder than it looks.)
tl;dr, Wally was accidentally a portal as a child, where he was adopted by the evil overlord. When the EO was defeated, Wally was sent back, and Narnia'd back to his own age, without any memories. Years later cult members from the alternate dimension bring him back, and turn him back into the evil overlord, meaning that Young Justice has to fight him.
I'd prefer canon ships, mostly because I'd rather that shipping not be the priority? (Please don't have it end with Wally saved "by the power of love". I do like the trope in some cases, but I'd just prefer it not to be here), but I don't mind, like, Conner and M'gann acting like they do in canon, you know?

Oh wow. You know, this doesn't even have to be fanfiction... If this were a movie/book, I'd watch/read the hell out of it!
THIRDED with all my might.

Inspired by this comic strip. (Two links, yo, like a boss.)
Once upon a time, a three year old boy by the name of Xander* accidentally through a magic portal, where's he's sort-of adopted by a magical world's Evil Queen Sorceress Person. Raised as the Prince and hair-apparent, and with no memory of his past life, he turns out to be the perfect heir, and he is very good at his job. Torture, murder, anything and everything is within his capabilities..
Of course, their's a rebellion filled with "good guys" who win as good guys are apt to do in stories, and they take the Prince, and are going to kill him, when they find out about the portal and the adoption and all that. So, instead of murder, they mindfuck him, take his memories and magical ability away and send him back through the portal, where he is once again a three year old child, a la "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe".
Years later, Xander, a skeptic who finds he is literally unable to believe in magic, is hanging out with his group of Totally Normal High School Students, when they get a call from people who need help. They all assume it's the "good guys" (because that's what happens in stories, see?)

Only, his friends aren't very happy, and of course they'll help defeat the bad guys, well, begrudgingly. I mean, it's not like their stuck in the other world until the bad guys are defeated, whether they help or not. (Except they totally are).
And the "bad guy" is their friend Xander. Shit just got real.
